Day 1 (16 Dec ’09); Medan – Lake Toba (L/D) :
Upon arrival at Polonia International Airport Medan, our representative will meet and transfer you to Lake Toba, traveling along the plantation road via Tebing Tinggi and Pematang Siantar. And overnight at Niagara Hotel Prapat. Dinner will be served at the hotel.
Day 2 (17 Dec ’09); Prapat – Samosir - Brastagi (B/L/D) :
After breakfast, take a day tour by boat, cruising to Samosir Island to visit Tomok Village where the old grave stone of King Sidabutar is. Continue to visit Ambarita Village where during ancient times, the Toba Batak people of Ambarita practised a form of canibalism. What remains today is the cluster of stone chairs where the village elders held council. Whenever an enemy was captured, the elders would invite the rulers of neighbouring villages to a conference, to determine the fate of the victim.
Be set to be brought through a historical lesson as stories from the past unfold before your eyes. Next, proceed to Brastagi (Karo Highlands). Enroute visit Simalungun Batak Long House which was named “Rumah Bolon” at Pematang Purba. The next stop brings you to Sipiso-piso Waterfall. In Brastagi you can enjoy a superb view of two volcanoes, Mt. Sinabung and Mt Sibayak. Afterwhich, take a leisure stroll along the traditional fruit market where you can purchase a variety of local fruits. Overnight at Grand Mutiara Hotel Brastagi.
Day 3 (18 Dec ’09); Brastagi - Medan (B/L/D) :
After breakfast, proceed to Medan - Maimoon Palace which is the legacy of Deli Sultanate. Built in 1888, on a land measuring 2.772 m wide, the palace building is facing to east, and has become the centre of the Deli Kingdom. Next, visit to Great Mosque which is one of the Sultan Deli legacies in North Sumatra other than the Maimoon Palace. Sultan Makmun Al Rasyid built this mosque in 1906. This Great Mosque is located only 200m² from Maimoon Palace and is still utilized by the Muslim community to pray every day. Foreign tourists visit this mosque from various countries all over the world. This Great Mosque is the most beautiful and biggest mosque in North Sumatra. You may spend the rest of the day to shop for Medan’s popular Batak handicrafts, wood carving, oil painting & antiques etc. And overnight at GarudaPlaza Hotel.
Day 4 (19 Dec ’09); Medan (B/L/D) :
After breakfast, you will embark on a full day shopping spree. Be greeted with throngs of friendly service staff & a great variety of products to suit your needs. Some of the shopping stops include : Medan Mall, Sun Plaza (branded goods), Pasar Ikan (traditional market), Pasar Petisah (traditional market) & Merdeka Walk.
Day 5 (20 Dec ’09); Hotel – Airport (B) :
After breakfast, free at own leisure till transfer to Polonia International Airport Medan for your flight back to Singapore
